Personality

She’s not fond of horses, though she’s become a skilled rider in her time as a Sage. She would much rather walk if given the choice. She’s a dainty eater.

Appearance

Larjalen is very petit and fragile. She has a round face with short, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
While she is 48, she doesn’t appear to be any specific age and quite enjoys making people guess her true age; the only people who know for sure are the Emperor and her husband, Xiren.
After the signing of the Coruscate Treaty, she started to show her age.

History

Larjalen is from a farming family. Her family owns a great deal of land that they rent out to farmers who couldn’t afford their own. They pay a small fee as well as a portion of their crops and the family allows them to farm their lands as they saw fit.

Most landowners in Doval are nobles, but not the Rualii family. One of Larjalen's ancestors did a great favour for the Empress back in the winter of 577. Initially, they farmed the land themselves as the family used to be quite extensive, but in the last hundred years or so their numbers have shrunk as people moved away from the homestead or just didn’t have as many children. Her grandfather instituted the rent system to make better use of the land. The Rualiis have a farm they tend to.

She succeeded Rishala, the prior Sage of Wood, in the year 835. She was eight years old.

She met Xiren when he was sixteen and she was nineteen. He was not yet a Wolf Warrior, but she was already a priestess. He was a handsome but arrogant son of a jeweler. Back then, he would not so much as give any other woman a second glance. Eventually, he acknowledged her. They married in 851.
