These fish are a popular food item everywhere except Thauland, the only country that doesn't touch the Isotim Gulf. The flesh of this fish ranges from pinkish to dark red and the scales are sometimes used as artistic embellishments.
Reproduction
They don't guard their eggs after spawning. These eggs are laid in the sandy ocean floor. It's not known if they have any courtship rituals. Males follow females around, fertilizing the eggs as they're laid.
