Laira is stern and serious. She doesn't think Dionne takes her duties as a sehashi seriously enough.

History

All of the sehashi from there were killed during the Great War. Laira is no exception. Her essence became trapped inside a mirror and that mirror has been handed down through time to other sehashi and eventually winds up in Dionne's hands.

She was friends with a great many of Earth’s sehashi and was often on Earth helping to combat their rogues. While she was there, she encountered a group of five sehashi from one of the Asian countries. Collectively, they were called the Ssu-Ling. Individually, she can’t recall what their names were.

Currently, she’s Dionne’s spirit guardian.

Her lifegiver used to tell stories about Yenus Prime. One of the sehashi she fought beside in The Great War was originally from there. He fought harder than most to take down the Ssu-Ling, though sadly he didn’t live to see it happen.

She swears by the eight moons of Alviar.

-Coal, otherwise known as Teerla, is Hana’s spirit guardian. She was a sehashi that worked along Dionne's [[Adelaide Forrester|grandmother]] more than thirty years prior to the start of the story. She's only part human, though in her civilian form she was indistinguishable from a full blooded human. Her mother was alien sehashi, a refugee from a nearby star system. Her father didn't know that his wife wasn't what she appeared to be. Coal's alien self only manifests in sehashi form.
