Anatomy[edit]
These dumplings lack the ears of their land based cousins. Instead they have a large, stiff fin on the top of their head and two long fins to help them navigate in the water.

They've been seen in lakes, but it's not known if there are any in the oceans.

Like many aquatic species, they seem to move in schools.

They're more common in freshwater lakes than in saltwater.

They're agile swimmers with and excellent sense of smell. They can detect potential prey for miles away.
