Nightlords are female and always have been. In this respect they're much like their counterparts the Rose Knights.

Structure

They answer only to Empress Hilandra. Within the Nightlords themselves there is no actual hierarchy.

Public Agenda

The Nightlords are the sworn protectors of the Twilight Empress. They are her friends and confidants. They act as her eyes and ears all over Keltos.

Naming

Nightlord titles all begin with the word Night or Dark. People of the Soulforge Alliance are under the mistaken belief that the Nightlords are male due to their title. The misunderstanding is due to a mistranslation. Their proper title, liurtekan, means night protector. It's a gender neutral term.

Myths

There are many misconceptions about the Nightlords. It's believed that they hate men and are incapable of having children.

Equipment

The cloaks they wear are designed in such a way that they obscure the Nightlord's entire form, including their faces. This has probably led to the misconceptions about their gender.

Greeting

One greets a Nightlord by bowing their held and holding their arms crossed in front of their face.
