Appearance[edit]

Light blue skin and transparent horns. They have three digits on each hand and three toes.
Males generally have darker skin than the females. Males also have a small, vestigial tail.

The zalgrivi are a reptilian species that give birth to live young. Their planet is quite warm and they have little to no tolerance for the cold. When traveling to other worlds, they wear special suits designed to keep them warm.

Reproduction[edit]

There is a higher percentage of females to males, so harems are common. It's rare to see a male with only one female and unheard of for an adult male to not have any. It would be assumed in that case that there's something wrong with him. Females who give birth to male offspring are more highly favoured. All children are loved, but sons are clearly more desired given their rarity. Unattached females are encouraged to be explorers and enter into dangerous professions, such as the army, while the males rarely leave the home world and tend to be drawn towards more intellectual and less dangerous pursuits.
