It's believed to predate all five kingdoms, but no one knows who carved ir, how, or why. There's nothing particularly remarkable about the stone itself except that there's nothign else like it nearby. Some scholars believe the stone was brought from elsewhere.

The Watcher, as its come to be known, is carved in the figure of a woman with her arms held out in front of her. Her hands are cupped as though she's holding something. None have been able to reach that high to see if there's anything there.

Her garb clearly dates back to the mid to late First Age. She appears to be a mortal based on her ear shape. No goddesses match her description, lending weight to that belief.

Her long hair is tied in a braid. This is against the style of the time. One hoof isn't as perfect as the other, leading to the belief that the sculptor was unable to finish for some reason.
