The image of the chrysanthemum on the coin was inspiration to them, but they didn’t like the standard name of Kiku. They named her after wild chrysanthemums instead.<br>

Every year at new years, in addition to the usual money gift of Otoshidama (usually 50,000 yen), her parents always gave her a 50 yen piece. It’s become a running joke.
