== Genetics and Reproduction == 
There are only three primary kinds of lellsie. Each one is named for their initial country of discovery though they can be found all over Feralia. Types can breed with each other, creating mixed breeds but those mixes generally don't last long and eventually wind up merging back into one of the main types.<br>
 
The most common are the Ciheian Longtails. The Becinian Padfoot and the Thauland Sprinters aren't quite so numerous.
 
Males engage in lekking to attract a mate. One a female selects her mate, the two raise their brood together until the young leave the nest. Sometimes the two will continue to mate but it's not unheard of for them to part ways after that.<br>
 
Females come into season twice a year - in spring and in the fall and lasts 9-12 days. They have a gestation period of roughly 20 days before they lay a small clutch of eggs. They can lay 2-6 eggs. Incubation is a shared duty between both parents and begins immediately after the eggs are laid. While one parent nest sits the other hunts for food. If the process is uninterrupted, the young will emerge 30-40 days later, depending on the clutch size.<br>
