=Observance= Every year on July 29th the town celebrates Founder's Day. It started with a simple town wide picnic, a speech from the Mayor, and a few games. As the town grew more things were added to the festivities: citizen of the year, parades, contests, and food stands. In 1983 the town began adding fireworks displays.<br> Over time the festivities have grown larger. These days its a three day festival that begins on July 26th.
