Progression
Cycle: Short term
Origin: Natural
Wingrot is an incurable degenerative disease that renders a siathi flightless by eating away at the all-essential flight feathers, the wing structure, bone and muscle and proceeding into the victim’s body. It kills slowly, the length depending on the strength of the victim. Most victims only last a few days, a week at the most after the symptoms of the disease begin to show.
The only thing that can be done for a patient is to administer painkillers and keep them comfortable until the end. It's advised that the family say their farewells as soon as possible and make the necessary arrangements.
