Rescher's Syndome

This is a potentially fatal disease that causes numerous detrimental effects to many organs, especially the brain and liver, as well as causing hypoglycemia. It's similar to Reye’s Disease and some scientists believe it to be a mutated form of it.

Transmission & Vectors

There is presently no known single cause of the ailment.

Treatment

While the symptoms can be treated, there is no known cure.

Prognosis

Stage I	o Persistent, heavy vomiting that is not relieved by eating o Generalized lethargy o General mental symptoms, e.g. confusion o Nightmares o High Fever o Mild eczema
Stage II	o Stupor caused by minor brain inflammation o Hyperventilation o Fatty liver o Hyperactive reflexes o Bloody stool
Stage III	o Continuation of Stage I and II symptoms o Possible coma o Possible cerebral edema o Rarely, respiratory arrest o Frequent bruising
Stage IV	o Deepening coma o Large pupils with minimal response to light o Minimal but still present hepatic dysfunction
Stage V	o Very rapid onset following stage IV o Deep coma o Seizures o Multiple Organ failure o Flaccidity o Extremely high blood ammonia (above 300 mg/dL of blood) o Death
