This mine was famous for the rare blue marble it produced.
History
The mines themselves were dangerous. No one ventured down there unless they had work to do. The small town around the mine catered to its workers. Once the mine dried up, the town vanished along with it.
Tourism
Other than the marble, there is little of interest in this area.
The abandoned shafts are home to criminals and people in hiding from the Darkriders. It's a refuge of last resort. The mines have been abandoned for centuries but there is still a danger of cave in and illness from the mining processes.
