	She is the daughter of the Empress Whalesong (Haekolo). She is the product of Whalesong’s first marriage, one that ended when her husband died tragically on a fishing expedition. She had just barely been pregnant at the time. Emperor Whitewave (Zaersuin) himself had just lost his first wife, a woman he’d already had several children with. While he had two other wives, he wished for another. He met Whalesong during a tour of his city. He didn’t seem to mind that she was pregnant with another man’s child. It wasn’t her fault that her husband died. It caused a great ruckus when he married her. Two months after the marriage, Sharkwhistle was born. A year and a half later, she was pregnant again, this time with Whitewave’s child, proving that he’d married her for all of the proper reasons. There was no outrage when he declared Whalesong to be his Empress (as none of his other wives wished the position, since it meant having to leave the comforts of the palace and travel around the many islands).
