The Coruscate Treaty exists as a peace treaty to help the five countries deal with a sudden shift in the state of the world.

== Background ==
When Shildrian made the decision to leave [[An'katerr]] in the hands of its mortal inhabitants, removing himself, the [[Sky Lords]], and ]]Imbria]] from their lives, something needed to be done to ensure that there would be some measure of peace. Fear of the Sky Lords' retribution had been keeping the five countries in line since the Beginning of Days. Fear of losing this peace was a justifiable concern for all parties.

Shildrian, therefore, summoned the Imperial Houses, his sons, Imbira, the [[Sages]], the heads of the five Chants, and the [[Chosen Warriors]] to an an empty plain near a town in [[Zalityu]] called Five Winds Village. There he told them of his decision and there they signed a peace treaty that was to last for the next 500 years. He hoped this would give their societies enough time to adjust to life without the ever watchful eyes of the Sky Lords. It was also his intention that their descendants reconvene when the treaty expired to reevaluate the terms of the treaty, to discuss whether or not they wish to renew the treaty as it stood or change any of the terms. The mortal rulers decided on a three hundred year span between meetings. It was decided that they would reconvene in the same location as symbolism was important to the people.

Empress Sholaiya of Zalityu agreed to build a proper meeting house at the spot to make things more convenient.

Once the treaty was signed, the gods of An'katerr vanished.

Copies of the Treaty can be found in every major town in An'katerr.

== Public Reaction ==
There was a great deal of rioting and panic in the years following the disappearance of the Sky Lords.

== Legacy ==
For the first few years after it was signed there was no travel permitted across any of the borders. The countries were forced to be self-sufficient as much as possible. Slowly, trade began to open back up though with much stricter requirements than it had ever had. Merchants required an official license from the Imperial House in order to operate outside their home country.

Countries became obsessed with guarding their borders, training soldiers to that task specifically. Watchtowers were constructed at even intervals on both sides of the borders.

Traveling to another country simply for pleasure was unheard of for more than a century. Once it was permissible, one had to have travel documents.
